Goulbourn History

The Goulbourn community has a rich heritage, dating back to the former Township's first settlement in 1818. Since this time, generations have called Goulbourn their home, establishing not only farms and businesses, but also a legacy of hard work and integrity.

As our community, in the southwest corner of the City of Ottawa, becomes increasingly urbanized, it is important to remember our villages' past.

This webpage serves as a portal to our local history. The links to the right provide information about Goulbourn's current communities, as well as its lost villages. You can also learn more about the 100th Regiment of Foot, Goulbourn's first settlers, or take a "Virtual Tour" of Goulbourn's past.
